Wellness Beyond Weight Collective

Program Details

The Wellness Beyond Weight Collective is a 6-month, small-group program designed to help participants better understand the biological, behavioural, and environmental factors that influence weight regulation.

Through guided education and discussion, participants develop a clearer understanding of metabolism, appetite regulation, and the barriers that can make weight change difficult.

The program focuses on insight, reflection, and evidence-based strategies that support long-term metabolic health.

Program Format

Format: Small group (Zoom)
Duration: 6 months
Sessions: Every two weeks
Session length: 75 minutes
Facilitator: Dr. Jules Passy, ND

The program includes 12 sessions over six months. Research on behavioural weight-management interventions shows that structured programs with at least 12–16 sessions within the first six months are associated with the most effective outcomes.

The structure of this program is designed around these evidence-based principles while allowing time for reflection and real-life application between sessions.

Participants are encouraged to continue their usual medical care alongside the program when appropriate.

Additional Program Tools

Participants in the program also receive access to tools that help build awareness and support behaviour change.

RxFood App

Participants receive access to RxFood, a clinician-based food tracking app that allows simple photo-based meal logging. The goal is not strict calorie tracking, but increasing awareness of eating patterns, meal timing, and nutrition habits.

InBody Body Composition Scans

Participants have access to InBody body composition scans, which measure factors such as fat mass, lean body mass, and hydration status.

These measurements can provide a broader understanding of body composition changes over time rather than focusing only on scale weight.

What Happens During The Program

Each session combines education and discussion focused on key aspects of weight regulation and metabolic health.

Topics explored throughout the program include:

• Understanding your weight story and the impact of weight bias
• Genetics and individual differences in weight regulation
• Appetite regulation, meal timing, and nutrition principles
• Stress physiology and the body’s “autopilot” response
• Hormonal influences, including PCOS and perimenopause
• Exercise, movement, and body composition
• Weight-loss medications and medical treatment options
• Metabolic adaptation and weight plateaus
• Weight maintenance and long-term strategies

The goal is not to prescribe a single solution, but to help participants understand how different factors interact in their own health experience.
